Version 2 was released in February 2011 and is considered the replacement for these services. However, the function signatures have changed (parameters and return types). For backwards compatibility, the version 1 services continue to exist.
Where possible, the version 1 services will be support corrections to dates but new dates for the countries will not be reflected. For instance, in Great Britain, Wales, Scotland and Ireland - 29 April 2011 is being recognized as a public holiday. This holiday is reflected in the version 2 services but not the version 1 services.
